Undercoating is a protective layer applied to the undercarriage of your vehicle that safeguards against rust, corrosion, and other environmental factors that given time will eat away at your frame, suspension, brake lines and fuel system. This not only degrades the value of your vehicle but can cause serious safety hazards. Undercoating creates a barrier between the metal surfaces and moisture, salt, and debris. Undercoating protects your vehicle's value, longevity, durability and safety.

Rustproofing is a protective treatment applied to your vehicle's inner body cavities including frame, doors, rocker panels, bed, hood, tailgate/trunk lid basically any inner cavity that can be accessed will be treated to help prevent rust and corrosion. Road salt, moisture, and other de-icing chemicals constantly attack the metal on your vehicle. Rustproofing creates a barrier that blocks these elements from reaching the metal, slowing or preventing oxidation. Combined with undercoating, rustproofing provides comprehensive protection that preserves your vehicle's structural integrity, safety, and resale value for years to come.

Typically, it's recommended to apply undercoating every one to two years, especially in regions prone to harsh weather or where road salt is commonly used. With the WoolWax® products we use it's not uncommon to go two to three years. Regular inspections can help determine the best schedule for your specific vehicle depending on the miles and conditions you drive in.

WoolWax® Undercoating: All undercoating/rustproofing services start with removing all undercarriage splash guards, blowing out or vacuuming any loose rust or debris, covering brake rotors, evap system and other components. Frame plugs are removed to allow access. We will treat the interior and exterior undercarriage, frame and suspension components. WoolWax® Undercoating Package does not include rustproofing body panels. WoolWax® will not dry out, it creeps and continues on creeping giving long lasting protection.

Your vehicle should be reasonably clean without caked on mud. We will prepare your vehicle by blowing off and/or vacuuming water and loose road debris that collects in all sorts of places before coating.

Most vehicles have enough removable body plugs to make drilling unnecessary. In some instances, it may be beneficial to drill a hole for access to an inner panel. These holes will be plugged with a flat rubber plug much like the oem plugs used elsewhere. We will never drill a hole without showing you the location and asking permission first.

Yes, we use mechanical methods such as air needle guns and scrapers. We do not sandblast or grind. If your vehicle comes in and is excessively covered in heavy scale that doesn't come off with our standard blow guns or vacuum, we will bring it to your attention and ask how you would like to proceed. Descaling services are priced at $85.00 per hour
